Alumni Office: A Matter of Balance

Alumni Office

I listen carefully to Alumni when they make their position known on matters concerning Mount Allison. Likewise, I listen carefully to the Administration’s position on those matters. Through direct consultation with Alumni as well as open discussion at our AGM, our Board of Directors seeks input on which to base their own opinion. We participate in the administration of the university through membership on the Senate, Board of Regents and several committees. Through these teams, and regular discussions with the University executive, we work together with a common purpose: The advancement of Mount Allison University.

Alumni Office: Fine and Performing Arts Centre

As promised in a recent letter, preliminary drawings for the proposed Fine and Performing Arts Centre are now available for you to see. If you recall, we had challenged the architects to design a facility that would foster excellent teaching, learning, and creative pursuit, while having a look and feel that enhanced the beauty of our campus. As you will see, the proposed design features a facade fashioned from the traditional Mount Allison rose-coloured stone while also containing an echo of the former University Centre/Memorial Library.
